IGIN-EFS Consolidates and enables Interoperability Between Enterprise Level Systems
IGIN-EFS enables interoperability meaning that utilities can consolidate disparate systems (EMS, Historian, DMS/SCADA, OMS, Billing/Metering, GIS, etc.) that may use different protocols (ICCP, DNP, MV90, OCP, ASCII, Propriety Protocols, etc.) and create the common platform needed to pass real-time data between the systems. IGIN-EFS additionally enables real-time data exchange with external systems; e.g. other utilities or Independent System Operators (ISOs) like PJM or NYISO.
• System/Site Redundancy
IGIN-EFS enables a Utility to create separate systems for fail-over purposes. These systems may be in the same location (system redundancy), or in different locations (site redundancy). IGIN-EFS is capable of supporting many redundant sites with system redundancy at each site.
• Migration Planning
Executing a consolidation program brings its own challenges. IGIN-EFS is able to create parallel systems that can be fully tested from end to end before commissioning. This, along with other applications aids utilities to migrate to the new system in a seamless fashion.
• Extensive Data Management
IGIN-Manager has advanced data management functionality that enables data to be shared efficiently over disparate systems.
